AVIF is a modern image format with excellent compression, but not every app, website or older device can open it. If a website rejects your AVIF, or an old photo editor refuses to open it, converting to JPG is the quickest fix. We wanted a converter that just works — no sign-up, no watermark, no file-size limits, and no waiting for an upload.

Your browser already knows how to decode AVIF and encode JPG. The converter uses a hidden canvas: it draws the decoded AVIF image onto the canvas (with a white background, because JPG does not support transparency), then exports the result as a JPG at the quality you choose. That is the whole trick — no server involved.
